About Karacharovsky plant

KMZ competes with renowned foreign companies such as elevators Orona, Otis, Axel, etc. The five-meter chandelier, which still flaunts in the assembly hall of Moscow State University on the Lenin Hills, was manufactured at the KMZ plant. Steel and aluminum metal structures of the plant were used in the construction and artistic decoration of such famous buildings of the capital as the Kremlin Palace of Congresses, the Ostankino television center, the Mir, Oktyabr and Rossiya cinemas, the Tretyakov Gallery, the circus on Vernadsky Avenue, the memorial on Poklonnaya grief.

Elevators began to be produced at the Karacharovsky Mechanical Plant in 1957. Now Karacharovo elevators are distinguished by a huge variety of models and high quality. The plant widely uses scientific and technical developments, which allow you to create new types of equipment. These elevators have passed all the necessary certification procedures, which confirmed their compliance with technical regulations.

Most Karacharovo elevators can be used to transport disabled people and other groups of the population that have low mobility. They are intended for all types of buildings: shopping centers, hotels, administrative buildings, offices, apartment buildings. These elevators are often used when replacing an elevator.

Advantages of KMZ elevators

Elevators from the Karacharovo plant have a number of advantages over imported competitors, such as:

  • original design of the interior decoration of the elevator cabin;
  • high functionality;
  • use of foreign-made components;
  • reliable security system;
  • smooth running of the elevator;
  • noiselessness when moving, opening or closing doors;
  • precise stops;
  • Possibility of installation in any shaft;
  • microprocessor as control.

Nowadays, Karacharovsky elevators are ideally suited for transporting passengers with hand luggage, as well as moving passengers with children and strollers or people in wheelchairs. They also allow you to transport bulky luggage such as furniture or household appliances. This equipment meets all the parameters of premium elevators, but is offered at an affordable price.

Each buyer can choose an elevator cabin design from existing options or make an individual order. The most common is the elevator model, which has a load capacity of 400 kg. These elevators are installed in offices, hotels, residential buildings. An elevator model with a load capacity of 1000 kg, which copes well with large passenger flows, is also very popular. This elevator is usually installed in high-rise buildings for various purposes. Freight elevators of this brand are adapted to lift cargo to very high heights, so they are installed in supermarkets, restaurants, hotels, and factories. Elevators with a lifting capacity of about 500 kg are in demand in warehouses and production sites. They have a reliable and aesthetically pleasing cabin, which is also very easy to install. This elevator moves at a speed of 0.5 m/s and has high stopping accuracy.

To control elevator equipment, devices with buttons are located directly in the cabin and on the floors. To make the cabin, metal sheets are used, which are additionally painted with powder paint or enamel. The shaft doors are of the swing type and look like two doors. They can also be opened manually. The elevator can have several versions of the cabin, which can be pass-through or non-pass-through. Doors can also be either lattice or solid. The elevator is often equipped with a special fire resistance system, but can also be produced without it.

For more than 50 years it has been providing building complex Moscow and regions with elevators, tower cranes, mobile cargo-passenger lifts and other means of mechanization.

The birth and formation of KMZ OJSC is associated with the development of post-war construction in Moscow. From the beginning of the 50s, the plant began to supply unique large-sized artistic castings for the construction of the Moscow State University on the Lenin Hills. Including a five-meter chandelier that still adorns the assembly hall of the main university of Russia, a metal fence that encircles the territory of the university with a thirteen-kilometer ring, and monumental sculptures of the main building. Sculptures, ornaments and bas-reliefs were cast to decorate the banks and locks of the Volga-Don Canal under construction.

The plant produced a wide variety of construction equipment and mechanisms. These are concrete pavers, telescopic towers, earthmoving and milling machines, mortar trucks, slab lifts, cargo-passenger rope and rack lifts. Many house-building plants in the capital are equipped with non-standard equipment manufactured at KMZ.
