Job responsibilities. Qualification requirements.

Installation and testing technician of category I: secondary vocational (technical) education and work experience as a technician of category II for at least 2 years.

Installation and testing technician category II: secondary vocational (technical) education and work experience as a technician or other positions filled by specialists with secondary vocational education, at least 2 years.

1. GENERAL OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY REQUIREMENTS

1.1. This Instruction provides basic labor protection requirements for an instrumentation and testing engineer.

1.2. The instrumentation and testing engineer must perform his duties in accordance with the requirements of these Instructions.

1.3. Workers may be exposed to the following hazardous and harmful production factors:

increased noise and vibration levels;

dangerous voltage level in an electrical circuit, the closure of which can occur through the human body;

increased contamination with vapors of harmful chemicals;

falling from height;

fire and explosion hazard;

thermal burns;

driving mechanisms and machines.

1.4. Persons who are at least 18 years old, have appropriate qualifications, have passed a medical examination, tested their knowledge of labor safety requirements by a commission in the prescribed manner, and have received permission to work independently are allowed to work as an engineer for commissioning and testing of instrumentation and control systems.

1.5. The instrumentation and testing engineer is provided with special clothing and safety footwear in accordance with current standards.

1.6. The commissioning and testing engineer for instrumentation and automation must have the appropriate electrical safety group, not lower than III.

1.7. An instrumentation and testing engineer needs to know and strictly comply with the requirements for labor protection, fire safety, and industrial sanitation.

1.10. Loading and unloading operations must be carried out in accordance with the requirements of GOST 12.3.009-76, GOST 12.3.020-80 and Labor Safety Rules during loading and unloading operations and placement of cargo.

2. OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY REQUIREMENTS BEFORE STARTING WORK

3. OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY REQUIREMENTS DURING WORK

3.18. When working in explosive areas, ensure the use of tools that prevent the formation of sparks.

3.19. Explosion-proof automation equipment is allowed to be used in explosive premises, provided that the devices comply with the degree of danger of the given premises (premises class).

It is prohibited to use electrical equipment that is not marked for explosion protection in hazardous areas.

3.20. Instrumentation and control devices that do not have appropriate markings regarding the type and level of explosion protection are installed in rooms isolated from explosive atmospheres.

3.21. When working in hazardous areas, it is prohibited:

repair electrical equipment and networks under voltage without appropriate registration and carrying out organizational and technical measures;

operate electrical equipment in case of any damage (for example, faulty protective grounding, blocking, contact grounding, if the explosion protection of the equipment is violated);

operate explosion-proof electrical equipment with enclosure parts removed, incl. fastenings provided for by its design;

load electrical equipment, wires and cables beyond their rated parameters;

change the complete set of intrinsically safe devices, change the brand and increase the length of wires and cables if the resistance, capacitance and (or) inductance during this replacement exceed the maximum permissible values ​​of these values ​​for a given intrinsically safe circuit;

use the same cable for wiring intrinsically safe and conventional electrical circuits;

leave open the doors of rooms and vestibules separating explosive rooms from other explosive and non-explosive rooms;

turn on electrical installations without devices that disconnect the protected electrical circuit under abnormal conditions; replace protection (thermal and electromagnetic releases, fuses, residual current devices) of electrical equipment with other types of protection or protection with other nominal parameters, for which this electrical equipment is not designed;

leave electrical equipment in operation with a layer of oil and quartz sand below the specified height.

3.22. Do not allow strangers into the work site.

3.23. If any violations are detected, turn off the equipment and notify the supervisor.

4. OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY REQUIREMENTS IN EMERGENCIES

4.1. If an equipment breakdown occurs that threatens an accident at the workplace, stop its operation, as well as the supply of electricity, gas, water, raw materials, product, etc.; report on measures taken to the immediate supervisor (the person responsible for the safe operation of the equipment) and act in accordance with the instructions received.

4.2. In an emergency: notify people around you of the danger, report to your immediate supervisor about the incident and act in accordance with the emergency response plan.

4.3. In case of a chemical burn, wash the affected area immediately big amount running cold water from a tap, rubber hose or bucket for 15-20 minutes. If acid or alkali gets on the skin through clothing, you must first wash it off with water from the clothing, and then rinse the skin.

4.9. If acid gets on the floor, it should be neutralized (sprinkled with soda or quicklime) and only then cleaned with a shovel and washed off with water. Clothes drenched in acid should be washed with plenty of water, neutralized with a 2-3% soda solution and replaced.

4.10. If any malfunction is detected that disrupts normal operation, it must be stopped. Inform your immediate supervisor of any observed shortcomings.

4.11. In the event of an accident, it is necessary to provide assistance to the victim first aid, if necessary, call an ambulance, inform your immediate supervisor and keep the situation at the workplace unchanged until the investigation, unless it poses a threat to workers and does not lead to an accident.
