      • design engineer category I - a person who has a higher professional (technical) education and work experience as a design engineer category II for at least 3 years
    3. Appointment to the position of design engineer and dismissal from it is made by order of the director of the enterprise
    4. The design engineer must know:

    5. During the absence of a design engineer (illness, vacation, business trip, etc.), his duties are performed by a person appointed in the prescribed manner. This person acquires the corresponding rights and is responsible for the proper performance of the duties assigned to him.

    II. Job responsibilities

    Design engineer:

    1. Develops preliminary, technical and detailed designs of particularly complex, complex and medium complexity products, using design automation tools, best practices of competitive products, while ensuring compliance of the developed designs with technical specifications, standards, labor protection and safety regulations, and the requirements of the most economical production technology , as well as the use of standardized and unified parts and assembly units in them.
    2. Conducts patent research and determines indicators of the technical level of designed products.
    3. Draws up kinematic diagrams, general layouts and theoretical connections of individual structural elements based on schematic diagrams and preliminary designs, checks working designs and controls drawings according to specialty or work profile, draws sketches of complex parts from nature and performs complex detailing.
    4. Conducts technical calculations for projects, technical-economic and functional-cost analysis of the effectiveness of designed structures, as well as risk calculations when developing new products, draws up operating instructions for structures, explanatory notes to them, technical level maps, passports (including patent and license ), test programs, technical specifications, notices of changes in previously developed drawings and other technical documentation.
    5. Studies and analyzes design documentation received from other organizations for the purpose of its use in design and construction.
    6. Coordinates the projects being developed with other departments of the enterprise, representatives of customers and supervisory authorities, economically justifies the designs being developed.
    7. Participates in the installation, adjustment, testing and commissioning of prototypes of products, assemblies, systems and parts of new and modernized designs, products manufactured by the enterprise, in the preparation of applications for inventions and industrial designs, as well as in work to improve the modernization, unification of designed products, their elements and in the development of draft standards and certificates.
    8. Provides feedback and conclusions on draft standards, rationalization proposals and inventions relating to individual elements and assembly units.

    III. Rights

    The design engineer has the right:

    1. Get acquainted with the draft decisions of the enterprise management concerning its activities.
    2. Submit proposals for improvement of work related to the responsibilities provided for in this job description for consideration by management.
    3. Inform your immediate supervisor about all shortcomings in the production activities of the enterprise (its structural divisions) identified during the performance of your official duties and make proposals for their elimination.
    4. Request personally or on behalf of the immediate supervisor from heads of departments of the enterprise and specialists information and documents necessary to perform his job duties.
    5. Involve specialists from all (individual) structural units in solving the tasks assigned to it (if this is provided for by the regulations on structural units, if not, then with the permission of management).
    6. Demand that the management of the enterprise provide assistance in the performance of its official duties and rights.

    IV. Responsibility

    The design engineer is responsible for:

    1. For improper performance or failure to fulfill one’s job duties as provided for in this job description - within the limits determined by the current labor legislation of the Russian Federation.
    2. For offenses committed in the course of carrying out their activities - within the limits determined by the current administrative, criminal and civil legislation of the Russian Federation.
    3. For causing material damage - within the limits determined by the current labor and civil legislation of the Russian Federation.
