What do you need to get started? First of all, you need to purchase a handloom. Of course, such a business is not started from scratch and there will be some costs, but quite small. There is a market big choice machines costing starting from 2000 rubles. Although children's machines are so cheap, they produce quite adult things that are in great demand. This:

  • rugs,
  • bedding,
  • belts,
  • wool products, etc.

Initial operation of these machines will give you hands-on experience.

It is worth looking at the offers posted on advertising portals. Here you can purchase a professional carpet making device, even at half the original cost. Of course, you will first need to check its technical condition and purchase weaving accessories, including

It is a good idea to use the Internet as a trading platform to advertise on major auction sites. In the future, you can simply create a separate website. This will require preparation detailed descriptions carpets and their photographs. The site should also include information about the possibility of producing various designs at the request of the customer.

Before you start work, you need to develop your technology and select materials. All this will allow you to find your own image and product design.

Carpet production requires a workshop. Of course, you can start working in an apartment, but later, in order for the business to become larger, it will be necessary to equip a workshop that will allow you to reach another level.

Before you start working, collect all possible information on this topic and choose the most optimal path for you.

Depending on the cost and effort, set your own price in each individual case. Gather information about a similar product in the local market.

In our store you will find a large assortment hand woven carpets. We are proud of the collections presented, because our store is very popular among collectors and designers. On the Internet you can find many advertisements with the text “I will buy a handmade carpet” and this is not surprising, because... Such products are in great demand due to their unique qualities. If we do not have any color or pattern, you can order a carpet and we will deliver it within 2 weeks.

The value of handmade carpets only increases every year. Their pile becomes thicker and silkier, and the colors are more refined. Such masterpieces are passed down from generation to generation. The price of handmade carpets can reach up to 2 million rubles.

Advantages of handmade carpets

The most expensive are silk carpets, because... There are about a million knots per 1m2 and all this is done by hand. We list the main features of such products, with the help of which they can be distinguished from machine quality:

  • Only natural materials (silk, wool) are used. If you see a carpet made from polyolefin or polypropylene, then it was definitely machine woven.
  • If there is a pile, then its slope is always in one direction, which is explained by the peculiarities of hand weaving.
  • The pattern is clearly visible from the base side. In addition, the machine-made fringe is covered with overlock, and all edges are stitched by machine. In handmade work, fringe is warp threads that are not sewn on and stick out from the ends.
  • Sometimes there are threads that are colored unevenly.

If the carpet is made in Belgium, Italy or other countries in Eastern Europe, then we can confidently say that this carpet is woven by machine. In these countries there are no factories that weave with their hands floor coverings, this is a privilege of Asian countries, where weaving crafts have been practiced for centuries.

In most cases, selling handmade knitted products is a part-time job for those who love handicrafts. And for Tatyana Ulyanova from Yekaterinburg, this is quite successful business and the work of my whole life. Products from her brand Krona Store are selling like hotcakes on Instagram, and many customers wait patiently for several weeks for their orders to be fulfilled. Tatyana also set up yarn production as an additional source of income - her husband is involved in this area..

29 years old, entrepreneur from Yekaterinburg, founder of the project (production of knitted accessories for home interior). After graduation I worked wedding photographer, then decided to open my own business. The Krona Store project was launched in 2016. Married, has a son.

Find your niche

Before she started making money by knitting, Tatyana Ulyanova worked as a photographer. She photographed weddings and other celebrations and conducted individual photo sessions. When I decided to change my field of activity, this skill turned out to be very useful. Now she takes all the photos herself to promote her brand and sell products.

“The idea of knitting home accessories did not arise by chance,” says Tatyana. - I have long been steadily drawn towards interiors, design, and decor. It probably affected a large number of experienced relocations and repairs. But it took me a long time to choose a niche. I wanted to find not just a hobby, but my life’s work. Therefore, I approached the search with all responsibility. Wrote a list possible options, tried, was disappointed and looked further.”

The first thing Tatyana tried to make was hand-woven tapestries. When the first two were ready, it turned out that this activity, although interesting, was incredibly difficult. “Even after my first tapestry, I realized that my back was simply not designed for this, although, paradoxically, everything is fine with knitting large carpets in this regard. Another reason why we didn’t get along with the tapestries was that the products lacked practicality.”

Tatyana also tried to make leather notebooks. I mastered the basics, found tools and a piece of material in my home bins, tried to sew, and it worked. But when I went to the suppliers to choose leather, I realized that this was not her material. She also brushed away the wood and linocuts.

In my search, I quite often turned to Western projects. They struck her with their “atmosphere”: “One day, while wandering around Instagram, I came across several foreign masters from the USA and Canada. These were knitters, but not of carpets, but of blankets, hats and snoods. Their works amazed not only with their beauty, but also with their impeccable sense of taste. Their accounts were perfectly designed in the same style. This was a novelty for Russia back then. I thought: choose what you like and act.”

This is how Tatyana gradually came to knitting: first she made blankets and baskets, and a little later the “carpet” era began.

“Exactly six months passed from the firm decision to try something new to the very first knitted basket,” says Tatyana. The project began to develop with money raised from the sale of products. “I needed very little money for yarn to start the business,” she recalls. - But I believe that there was some luck here. The first baskets I knitted were immediately purchased. I again invested my first profit in yarn. And immediately received several more orders.”

In 2016 she started Instagram page. In April I laid out the first round rug for the children's room. A cotton carpet with a diameter of 2 meters was sold for 18 thousand rubles. This is how the history of the Krona Store brand began. The name “Krona” was not born by chance, says Tatyana. She usually draws inspiration from nature, and her carpets, like the crown of a tree, are openwork and voluminous.

Carpets are flying around the world

Now the main product of the Krona Store is handmade cotton knitted carpets. Tatyana and her craftsmen can knit them to order in different colors, patterns and sizes. The largest carpet that was created in the workshop was 340 by 380 cm in size.

“These rugs are not for everyone, but for those who love natural materials and want a unique piece knitted specifically for their home space. I would also like to note the energy of my products. She's incredible! It’s always nice to receive something made with soul,” says Tatyana.

In addition to carpets, Krona Store knits poufs, baskets, pillows and blankets - everything for the interior. “I don’t take on anything else, since I am for a narrow specialization. But it's not boring at all. There are still so many ideas and interesting things to be brought to life,” explains Tatyana.

To constantly be interesting for customers, Krona Store does not stand still. Products with new patterns are constantly appearing in the assortment. When developing them, the master relies on trends in the decor industry as a whole. Sometimes customers ask to knit a carpet according to their sketch.

At the same time, all the carpets of this brand have a single recognizable style: “I am one of the first to knit carpets with geometric patterns, and in large volumes. I love minimalism and all the pieces reflect my tastes. They are laconic, stylish, with a twist.”

Orders to the master from Yekaterinburg come from all over Russia. During the work, the carpets were also sent to the UK, USA, Greece, and France.

How a problem sparked a new business idea

Things didn't always go smoothly. One of the first difficulties that Tatyana encountered was related to the lack of yarn necessary for knitting: “I was looking for a supplier in my city, but at that time knitting yarn was not popular, so I had to order it from another city. The transport company failed on time, because of this I was greatly delayed in one large order. But then I realized that there should always be a plan “B”.

This is how it arose Krona Yarn- another project of Ulyanova. Under this brand, she began producing handmade knitted yarn. “At first I didn’t intend to make yarn, although everyone around me advised it. Out of curiosity, I decided to just try it. I bought a small piece of fabric. The only tools I needed were scissors, a piece of chipboard as a ruler, and a pizza cutter. Three hours later my first skein was ready. A basket of these threads still lives at home,” recalls Tatyana.

It turned out that not only she, but also many other knitters needed this yarn. And its production can become an additional source of income. “Initially, I was the only one doing yarn. Everything was done by hand, it's hard work, I tell you. Then the first equipment appeared, and I suggested that my husband take up yarn. I have always liked the creative process more. So now the husband is in charge of yarn. And I'm very favorable conditions I buy yarn from him for my products,” says Tatyana.

At that moment, there was little competition in the market, but gradually everything changed. Now the market, according to Tatyana, is oversaturated. Despite intense competition, Krona Yarn yarn is bought in many Russian cities. Yarn is sold through Instagram with delivery by mail or transport companies. It can also be purchased through partners in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Krasnoyarsk, Omsk, Vladimir, Izhevsk, Rostov-on-Don and even in Minsk.

Knitted yarn is created from the so-called kulirka, says Tatyana. “The fabric goes through three steps to become the final product - cut into strips, drawn and wound into a skein. The yarn turns out to be quite thick - 7-9 mm. You can knit excellent interior items from it, as well as handbags, slippers, toys and much more.”

A skein of such yarn is 90-110 meters in length. When purchasing up to four pieces, one skein costs 320 rubles, from 10 pieces - already 280 rubles. For example, a Krona Store 35 x 45 cm pouf takes approximately 4.5 skeins. For a carpet with a diameter of 1.5 meters you will need 13-14 skeins. And a rectangular carpet 230 by 300 cm requires more than 50 skeins.

Orders are scheduled six months in advance

Krona Store products are very popular - even despite high price. But manual labor can't be cheap. Prices for products from Tatyana Ulyanova are as follows: a knitted pillow measuring 40 by 40 cm with synthetic fluff filling costs 3.5 thousand rubles, a round carpet with a diameter of 1.5 meters can be ordered for 11.5 thousand rubles, and a carpet with a diameter of 195 cm - for 18 thousand rubles

All products of the brand are knitted by hand, and this is not a quick process. In a month, a master can sometimes produce only four carpets, but of large volume. “Plus, my clients like to order in “sets.” Often, in addition to the carpet, a basket, pouf or pillow in the same style is knitted,” says Tatyana.

With such demand, she very soon stopped being able to fulfill orders herself and found assistants. “Now Krona Store is me and several of my craftswomen who can knit everything and a little more. I was lucky to find them through an ad; these are my sorceresses. All the girls undergo training, after which most of them continue to work with me,” says Tatyana.

And yet, back in October last year, she was forced to suspend accepting orders for carpets and baskets. Even then, all orders were scheduled until March 2019. You can get custom-made poufs and blankets faster. Their execution time is several weeks. Also, the workshop always tries to have some products in stock, but their selection is limited.

The secret of success is carpets and a little life

The master promotes his product mainly through Instagram. In almost three years of existence, the brand’s page has gained 97 thousand subscribers. Tatyana handles the promotion and maintenance of the account herself. On Instagram, she not only sells knitted items, but also communicates with subscribers, shares inspiration, and shows part of her life.

“Of course, I had to learn how to properly manage and promote my page. But it’s more important to love your business and talk about it with sparkling eyes,” she explains her popularity among subscribers.

“I don’t have my own website, and I don’t plan to launch one yet,” says Tatyana. She explains this by saying that each product is created individually to order - any size, color, pattern, so there is not much point in the catalog. Plus, the demand for carpets sometimes even exceeds the workshop’s capabilities.

Another additional source of income and increased interest in the page are the master classes that Tatyana periodically records and releases. For 800 rubles, everyone receives a theory, diagram and video on how to knit this or that product. Several more master classes are planned for 2019.

“There are quite a lot of plans for the near future. But mostly everything concerns carpets. I would like to knit as many unique and soft ones as possible, to “inhabit” as many houses as possible,” says Tatyana.

The master is sure that her love for her work and the willingness to never stop thinking about it 24 hours a day will help her realize all her plans: “It’s difficult, but it’s also a pleasant tiredness from creating something a little wonderful...”

In this article we will analyze a business idea for selling carpets: what is required to open a store and step-by-step instructions for starting it, how much money is needed and how much you can earn.

Business concept

The store will sell carpets and rugs from different materials, aimed at average buyers. It is important that the products correspond to fashion trends in the interior and support modern trends.

The main clients are people carrying out renovations, choosing accessories to decorate their apartments, as well as owners of firms and enterprises purchasing carpets for decorating office premises.

What will be required for implementation?

To open a store selling carpets, you need to find premises, purchase furniture and equipment. It will be necessary to build special holders for carpets where exhibition samples will be hung, and organize podiums for horizontal placement of products. For the store you need to purchase:

  • cash machine;
  • computer;
  • Printer.

In order for buyers to better see the product on offer, it is necessary to additionally illuminate the products using spotlights. A store with an area of 200 m² will need at least 10 floodlights.

For furniture you will need to buy a table, two chairs, and a shelving unit. And of course the goods. To do this, even at the business planning stage, you need to decide on the range of carpets that will be put up for sale. Focus on potential buyer. In a small town where people with average incomes live, it is not advisable to sell handmade carpets. But middle class rugs will certainly be in demand.

IN last years buyers prefer to purchase carpets in the shape of an oval and a semicircle, but the classic rectangular version does not go out of fashion.

As for the naturalness of the raw materials, carpets made of wool with silk weaves have been at the peak of popularity for the past five years.

Step-by-step launch instructions

  1. Registration. Registration of activities as an individual entrepreneur – best option for such a business. It will be possible to work according to the simplified tax system, deducting 6% of revenue to pay taxes. Since carpets belong to the category of highly flammable products, it will be necessary to obtain a conclusion from the Rospozhnadzor authorities on the compliance of the premises with safety requirements, and also to equip a fire alarm system in the store. General expenses for registration of all documents and permits will be approximately 3,000 rubles.
  2. Room. Room under future store you need to look in the city center so that a large number of people pass near it every day. Place a bright sign that attracts attention. A good option is to rent premises in a large mall, especially if there are stores of construction and finishing materials there. As for the area, focus on the quantity of goods and do not forget that the store needs to equip a small room for storage. In general, 60 m² may be enough for a very modest store. Rent in the city center will be approximately 500-1000 rubles. per 1 m², so every month you will have to spend about 60,000 rubles in this direction. You will also need to make repairs in the store, build podiums and holders for vertically located carpets. Choose yours trademark, design the store in accordance with it, come up with an original name. The cost of repairs and decoration will amount to 120,000 rubles.
  3. Equipment, goods. Most of your funds will go specifically to this item (about 1,000,000 rubles).
  4. Staff. The store should hire at least two salespeople, preferably men. Then you will be able to save on the services of workers. Sellers will display and package the goods. In addition to consultants, you can hire two additional loaders who will be responsible for placing carpets in the store and delivering them to the buyer. Accounting can be carried out by a visiting specialist. It would not be a bad idea to hire a sales manager who will be involved in advertising and searching for clients. The cost of paying staff will be about 120,000 rubles.
  5. Advertising, searching for clients. In a small town, you can distribute leaflets, business cards through mailboxes or among people. Try to visit exhibition fairs and weekend markets where you can present your products. Enter a system of discounts; you can order inexpensive bonus cards, not necessarily cumulative, but with a fixed discount percentage. Advertising on television and radio will not be cheap, but the results from it will not take long to arrive. If you have extra money, spend it on creating your own website. Then it will be possible to sell carpets online. Advertising costs will be approximately 20,000 rubles. If you plan to run a website, add another 30,000 rubles here.

* The calculations use average data for Russia

Selling carpets can currently be quite a profitable direction for your business. own business due to the fact that the demand for such products among the population is constant and relatively high. It should be noted that a store selling carpets can be targeted at consumers of completely different levels, and therefore an entrepreneur can choose the optimal format of work for him and even occupy a niche that is empty in his region. The carpet is a dense woven product made of various materials, previously only natural fabrics and yarn were used, today synthetic carpets, which are made from substitutes for natural materials, are increasingly appearing on the market. The fashion for carpets was especially widespread in Soviet times, but today a carpet with oriental patterns is almost always a sign of bad taste of its owner. In this regard, the population is interested in purchasing products that correspond to modern fashion.

The carpet trade market cannot be called oversaturated; today, even in relatively large cities, there are not many stores that specialize in selling such products. In this regard, an entrepreneur may even be the first player in the market, especially if we are talking about a small locality. Carpets may belong to different categories, but at the same time cheap goods will not be of interest to anyone, it can be sold at markets, and the buyers will be precisely those people who still love Soviet exotica. The consumer needs a product that becomes an interior decoration, that fits harmoniously into the environment, that has not only a practical, but also an aesthetic function.

To get started, you need to register as a subject entrepreneurial activity. The easiest way is to register as individual entrepreneur, because it will not require a large investment Money, will take a little time and effort from a businessman. If there is a need for registration legal entity, then the preferred form is a limited liability company, because in this case, as in the case of individual entrepreneurship, a simplified taxation system will be available. This involves transferring to the state no more than 6 percent of income or 15 percent of operating profit as taxes. The activity itself falls under the definition (OKPD 2) 47.53 Services for retail trade carpets, carpet products, floor and wall coverings in specialized stores. In order to be able to work in your store, you must obtain permission from certain government authorities, which primarily include the fire inspectorate and Rospotrebnadzor.

Trend 2020. Intellectual business in the field of entertainment. Minimum investment. No additional deductions or payments. Turnkey training.

An important point in organizing your business is finding premises for a store. It is optimal to find a room in central regions cities where there is good foot traffic, because in this case you can count on a fairly large flow of visitors, who become random passers-by. However, it should be noted that carpet products are among those types of goods that the consumer does not purchase by chance, but after much planning. It is worth considering the option of opening your own store on the territory shopping complex, it is then that we can talk about the maximum possible flow of visitors. It may also be advisable to open a carpet store in a residential area of the city; A good location can also be called proximity to furniture stores.

An entrepreneur should also decide whether he has the opportunity to purchase the premises or will have to rent it; the cost of rent can be very significant, which will lead to a critical increase in monthly expenses. However, in most cases, an entrepreneur has the opportunity to rent premises, and its cost depends on many factors, which also include the location in the city and the city of work itself.

A carpet store can occupy a different area, but it is worth focusing on premises whose sales area will be at least 50 square meters. The height of the ceilings should also be significant, because huge spaces, all the walls, will be occupied by carpet products that will be shown to customers. By the way, in order to accommodate a fairly wide range of goods, which at the same time belong to different categories, 50 square meters will not be enough, this is actually the minimum for a very small store; many similar retail outlets occupy 200-300 square meters. It is also very important that the room is sufficiently illuminated, the right lighting facilitates selection, and buyers should see the product in all its splendor.

An important point is the arrangement of the premises, because, as noted above, the store must be well lit. No matter how well the store is located, you will have to take care of purchasing special lighting equipment and equipment for displaying products. A carpet will almost certainly not be sold if it is not presented in a store in a completely unfolded form; carpets are hung on walls and special stands, and only rugs can be laid horizontally. The cost of one spotlight is at least 2 thousand rubles, but a sufficiently large number of them will be required to properly demonstrate the product. Therefore, you need to budget money not only for the purchase of such equipment, but also for its installation and commissioning, as well as the implementation of the entire network. Appropriate furniture and equipment are also purchased and, if necessary, the premises are renovated.

Ready ideas for your business

A carpet store can be successfully run if you follow fashion. Nowadays, more and more people are buying carpets not spontaneously simply because they wanted to imagine themselves as a Mongolian nomad and hang something wretched to collect dust and bugs on the wall, but because of the existing design plan for their premises. In this case, the carpet fits exactly into the interior and really serves as its decoration, and not as a bright spot with the wildest designs. Exists great amount styles, and it would be a good idea for an entrepreneur (or his employees) to understand them and know what is in fashion right now - this will make it possible to create a product range that will be of interest to the majority of buyers. If you just have beautiful, but currently “unfashionable” carpets, then you can lose a significant part of the visitors, and more efficient competitors can win. However, in this area, fashion does not change so often, so you can sell the same type of products for months.

But now the most important thing is that in order to satisfy the demand of absolutely all consumers, you need to be able to sell cheap synthetic carpets (including tasteless ones, if we talk about appearance), and middle-class goods, and supply luxury products, and even make custom carpets. Carpet making in industrial scale Of course, it’s not worth considering, but manual labor is always valued. An entrepreneur does not have to do carpet weaving himself or hire people who master this art. It is enough to find a craftsman who can make carpets or a small production of custom carpets. This is a very labor-intensive process, and a handmade carpet is sometimes obscenely expensive, however, especially in large cities, the demand for such products can be very high. If you work with craftsmen, you can attract a very significant percentage of potential consumers.

Ready ideas for your business

Now we need to take into account mass goods. Cheap products, as market studies often show, do not sell as well as products belonging to the middle class. Be that as it may, today a carpet is still considered a pleasant extravagance, and not an essential item; it used to be cheap option sound insulation from neighbors (although, in fairness, it should be said that the ugly carpets that can be seen in many apartments, where the spirit of the Soviet Union still remained, were very, very expensive at that time and were precisely a symbol of prosperity and luxury), but today - it is an object, a part of the interior that provides comfort and atmosphere. Cheap carpets, but which look aesthetically attractive, can find their consumers, moreover, such goods can be bought in large quantities– the main thing is good advertising and a good location. However, it is best to focus on middle-class goods, that is, these will be carpets not made from synthetic substitutes, but from natural, relatively inexpensive materials. Wool, silk and acrylic are considered expensive; it is wealthy people who buy carpets made from these materials, and it is they who are most often interested in making a unique product. Other materials, mainly synthetics, are available to ordinary people, and therefore their range should be in the store, unless, of course, it operates in the format of an exclusively elite carpet store.

In order to always have enough necessary products, you need to conclude agreements for the supply of goods with several manufacturers. If an entrepreneur finds a company that can supply him with a large assortment of various goods, then he can limit himself to cooperation only with it, but these are usually intermediaries and resellers, which means you should not expect the minimum price. In Russia, as a rule, only cheap goods are produced; real carpets are made in Asia, and although in the mass consciousness Turkish and Chinese production is considered to produce a low-quality product, it is in these countries that you can buy really good and high-quality products. This is all thanks to the fact that the traditions of carpet weaving in these countries (as well as some other Asian ones) have a centuries-old history, and real handmade carpets are purchased there. However, in most cases this is still exotic. It is better to turn to companies that produce in mass quantities a modern product that is exactly in line with fashion, which is made in a modern style. Several manufacturers will be able to provide the store with a very wide assortment, and the store should have not only carpets, but also rugs (aka carpet runners) and some other carpets. By the way, in order to sell the coating, you will have to buy the appropriate cutting and hemming equipment. The purchase of the first batch of goods will almost certainly be the most significant expense item.

If a store targets people with low incomes, then for 100-200 thousand rubles you can buy enough goods for good representation; if you take into account middle-class people, then the cost of the initial purchase increases to at least one million rubles. If we talk about elite products, then you already need to allocate several million (and sometimes even tens of millions) to purchase the product. No wonder, the cost of some carpets is comparable to the cost of a good car. Considering that luxury store opens in an elite quarter of the city and is equipped accordingly, then the amount of starting investments in this case sometimes amounts to millions of dollars. Someone who is very limited in funds can open a very small store or sell carpets at the market, but in this case it is better to try yourself in another business or contact credit organizations or to investors for help. It should also be noted that the markup on carpet products is usually quite high and averages 30-40%, on cheap carpets, which, especially in the case of mass purchases, are obtained at indecent prices low prices, the markup can be an order of magnitude higher, elite products have added value that is low in percentage terms, but decent in absolute terms. Sometimes the sale of just one luxury carpet forms the entire profit of the store for the month.

Among the population, there may also be a demand for such a service as individual carpet selection. In this case, the entrepreneur should be able to not only offer the product that is available at the time, but also one that he can quickly deliver on an individual order. This applies to middle and higher class stores. In some cases, the client wants the carpet to fully comply with the developed design project, and sometimes it is even advisable to be able to draw up a design project immediately on the spot with the consumer. Therefore, it is worth considering the option of cooperation with design studios, when the store sends the client to the designers, and the designers send them to the store for a carpet, which is a mandatory attribute of the interior. This way you can sell your product, and in the end everyone will be happy - the client, the store owner and the partner design studio.

Ready ideas for your business

Among the additional services, it is worth noting the possibility of carpet cleaning; a small carpet cleaning salon can be organized on the basis of the store. Of course, there are specialized companies that do this, but sometimes it is easier for a client to contact the place where he bought the carpet and where they know better how to handle it. Store employees, in turn, must follow the rules for caring for carpets, and some of them lie in the store for a long time. Some materials do not tolerate sunlight well, some others do not tolerate high humidity, and all this must be taken into account when planning and arranging a store.

You should also consider the possibility of selling your products online. In this case, it will be especially convenient to sell goods that are rarely purchased. The customer, if he is interested in such a product, can place an order for it and pick it up directly from the store in a few days. At the same time, he does not have to go to the store itself; he can even pay for the purchase without leaving home. An online store can well stimulate sales growth; investing in it is almost always very profitable. This is especially true in cases where competitors already have their own online stores and offer consumers this opportunity. In addition, it is worth thinking about conducting your advertising campaign, give information about yourself in local media mass media, post information about the store on the appropriate portals on the Internet. In general, it should be noted that best advertising- namely “word of mouth”, if there are no competitors in the city, then you should make sure that the store has a good reputation among the population, otherwise the first newcomer will take a significant part of the customers for himself. Promotions and discounts also have a good effect on sales, especially during the seasonal drop in sales levels that is observed in this business with the onset of warmer weather. It is logical that carpets are bought mainly in the fall and winter; in the summer, such products are in much lower demand.

Thus, your own carpet store can operate in completely different formats, target different consumer groups, and also offer a certain list of additional services. Many consumers of this product appreciate high level service, which is why you need to recruit only competent consultants to work on your point of sale. In general, this business can be very profitable, but the entrepreneur will have to put a lot of effort into this, because working with carpets has its own specifics.
