ANNUAL HOLIDAY OF THE MILITARY UNIT (SHIP)

1. The annual holiday of a military unit (ship) is held in order to educate military personnel in the spirit of devotion to the Fatherland, loyalty to military duty, military traditions and strengthening military camaraderie. The date of its holding is set by the commander-in-chief of the branch of the Armed Forces (chief of the branch of service) in commemoration of one of the memorable days in the history of the military unit (ship):

Formation Day;

The day of raising the Naval flag upon the entry of a ship into service;

Day of awarding the order;

The day of conferring an honorary title or the name "Guards";

The day of a significant victory won in battle with the enemies of the Fatherland;

The first day of going on combat duty. A corresponding entry is made in the historical record of the military unit (ship) regarding the establishment of the date of celebration.

2. The annual holiday of a military unit (ship) is held on the day off closest to the established date. On this day, the military unit is lined up with the Battle Banner and an orchestra. Before its formation, in brief speeches, the commander of the military unit, other military personnel and veterans talk about the military history of the unit, achievements in peacetime. Then the military unit marches solemnly. Instead of building a military unit on the eve of an annual holiday, it is allowed to hold a ceremonial meeting.

On this day, a ceremonial raising of the Naval flag is held on the ship.
