I have a large family and I have to cook a lot often, coming up with something new every time. Sometimes you just can’t do without a small kitchen scale because recipes, as you know, contain certain proportions. Previously, I always cooked “by eye,” which entailed many culinary mistakes, so I firmly decided to buy myself a gadget for the kitchen.
Initially, I looked through local sites with goods, was horrified by the prices and went in search of the product I needed on my favorite Aliexpress trading platform.
Price and delivery
Before placing an order, I looked at a bunch of different options for scales on Ali, and there are hundreds of them. Having settled on a model, I decided to choose a seller. I settled on the one whose price was slightly lower than the others. I re-read the reviews of successful clients, as well as reviews of other products from this merchant. His ratings are decent, so I decided to take it.
The seller sent the order within 4 days, it could have been done faster. The packaging was so called “lame”, I can’t even imagine how these poor scales managed to survive. The Chinese packed them in a simple postal bag without anything. However, the scales arrived intact and intact without a single scratch, apparently the body of the product itself is very reliable!
Review
As I wrote above, when I opened the package, I was surprised that my new assistant was intact. Having looked from all sides, twisted and turned, I was delighted. In the product review on Aliexpress, the seller did not indicate this point. Wait until 0.00 appears on the display of the electronic scale, then press and hold the button until the display shows 0, then release the button. After this, the weight required to calibrate the electronic pocket scale will flash on the monitor. Hang the required weight on the hook of the scale, after the number stops flashing the scale is calibrated.
Calibration of electronic pocket scales should be carried out at room temperature, after at least 30 minutes of keeping the scales at a constant temperature.
Attention! Electronic pocket scales are well calibrated by the manufacturer, so if there are no big doubts about the accuracy of the scales, then there is no point in calibrating!!!
In our world, everything has weight, and this weight is usually measured. Let's try to measure using the model WH-B05 scales we received.
We received the scales in white, although they are also available in black. Egg-shaped scales with a round platform for placing items to be weighed. According to the Chinese description, the scales are intended for jewelers. Naturally, with such errors this is not the case; other scales (with an accuracy class of 0.001%) are suitable for jewelers.
The scales are powered by two AAA batteries (mini-finger batteries). The device is equipped with an automatic shutdown function in idle mode.
From the characteristics of the scales it follows that they allow you to measure weight up to 5 kg with an accuracy of 1 gram. They decided to carry out the measurement accuracy on a Philips W832 phone, the weight of which, according to its characteristics, is 170 grams.
Our scales showed the weight of the smartphone to be 173 grams, which is approximately true, taking into account the pasted film, installed memory card and SIM card.
The scales have the ability to adjust zero - this function is useful for subtracting tare weight. This is done as follows: place the container on the scales and press the “T” button. Now the weight will be calculated without taking into account the tare weight.
Overall, the device made a good impression. We are going to use it in our experiments.
